  21. Installation

  24. 1. First install MS Windows 3.0 using the standard IBM VGA driver.
  25.  
  26. 2. Make sure Windows 3.0 is working properly.
  27.  
  28. 3. Change to Windows 3.0 directory (eg. c:\windows), run SETUP.EXE.
  29.  
  30. 4. Insert enclosed disk, change display driver to "Other...".
  31.  
  32. 5. Select a suitable TRIDENT driver.

  34. 6. Follow instructions to finish SETUP.

  38. IMPORTANT NOTE
  39. ==============

  41. If you have installed previous version of the Windows 3.0 Trident drivers,
  42. you will have to delete the old Trident driver files BEFORE you use
  43. SETUP to install the new drivers, otherwise SETUP will NOT copy the new
  44. driver files to your Windows 3.0 directory.
  45. The files which you should delete are in Windows 3.0 SYSTEM subdirectory
  46. (eg. c:\windows\system\ ), they are:
  47.     W800.DRV or W1024.DRV or W1024F.DRV or
  48.     T640.DRV or T1024.DRV or T1024F.DRV
  49.     VDDTVGA.386
